The latest incidents in France which resulted in the murder of seven people by a radical Jihadi person, raises once more the threat level posed by radical Salafi elements.

First of all it is notable to point out that since early February 2011 the French newspaper “Le Figaro” has published a classified document of the French counter-intelligence stating that at least 100 EU nationals had been trained in 2010 alone, in Islamic terrorist camps in The AfPak region. The data from what it seemed didn’t include Balkan nationals or those from Caucasus or Turkey, thus the overall number from this part of Eurasia must be significantly higher, without counting the “Arab Spring” process and the ongoing civil strife in Syria that proves to be like a magnet for all sorts of terrorist-driven Salafi elements.

Turkey steadily since the rise of AKP party in 2002 in power, is investing considerable resources upon expanding its reach both in the Islamic and in the Western world, by the use of Islamic organizations that are spread in dozens of countries and are mainly composed by Turkish-descent citizens. The web of relations and transactions between them and with Turkey are multitude and far-reaching. In the following article certain aspects of these networks are going to be outlined, so as to present the new era emerging regarding the use of Islamic soft power by Turkey in order to achieve dominance in world affairs and be able to influence political and social events.

Πρόταση για Σύσταση Συμβουλίου Εθνικής Ασφάλειας, του Ανδρέα Μπανούτσου

Εισαγωγή

Στο άρθρο αυτό θα ήθελα να αναφερθώ στην αναγκαιότητα της σύστασης Συμβουλίου Εθνικής Ασφάλειας( ΣΕΑ).

Η Ελλάδα στον 21ου αιώνα εκτός από τις παλιές παραδοσιακές συμβατικές απειλές (Τουρκικός επεκτατισμός, Αλβανικός και Σκοπιανός αλυτρωτισμός) έχει να αντιμετωπίσει μια σειρά από σύγχρονες ασύμμετρες απειλές όπως τη λαθρομετανάστευση, την τρομοκρατία, τη διασπορά των πυρηνικών, χημικών και βιολογικών όπλων, τον Ισλαμιστικό, Ακροδεξιό και Ακροαριστερό Εξτρεμισμό, τη Κλιματική Αλλαγή, το οργανωμένο έγκλημα και τις κυβερνο-απειλές. Η έννοια της εθνικής ασφάλειας είναι ευρύτερη εκείνης της εξωτερικής πολιτικής και εθνικής άμυνας. Η ασφάλεια στη σύγχρονη εποχή είναι ένα εξαιρετικά σύνθετο φαινόμενο και ο διαχωρισμός μεταξύ εξωτερικών και εσωτερικών απειλών είναι πλέον αναχρονιστικός. Η αντιμετώπιση των σύνθετων και αλληλένδετων σύγχρονων απειλών απαιτεί τον καλύτερο δυνατό συντονισμό και συνεργασία των επιμέρους εμπλεκομένων κρατικών υπηρεσιών και φορέων. Στην Ελλάδα υπάρχει θεσμικό έλλειμμα στο επίπεδο διαμόρφωσης, σχεδιασμού και υλοποίησης μιας υψηλής στρατηγικής εθνικής ασφάλειας, η οποία θα καθορίζει και θα ιεραρχεί τα εθνικά μας συμφέροντα και τις αντίστοιχες πολιτικές. Παρατηρείται επίσης μια αποσπασματική αντιμετώπιση των θεμάτων στρατηγικού σχεδιασμού και διαχείρισης κρίσεων. Η σύσταση επομένως ενός Συμβουλίου Εθνικής Ασφάλειας εκτιμώ ότι θα ενισχύσει σημαντικά το έργο της μελλοντικής κυβέρνησης της Νέας Δημοκρατίας στην κατεύθυνση της προστασίας και προώθησης των εθνικών συμφερόντων.

Up to 5,000 Bosnian Muslims involved with Islamic terror

Of 100,000 devout Bosnian Muslims, 3,000 to 5,000 are implicated in terrorism, said Dzevad Galijasevic, member of the Expert Team against terrorism and organized crime for the Southeastern Europe.

Referred by Galijasevic as “Wahabbi” sects, these terror cells, for those interested in geography, are located in villages Osvam and Bocinja near Maglaj, then in Zeljezno Polje, Serici, Babina Reka, Tetovo near Zenica, Lepenica, Miljanovci near Tesanj, Mehurici by Travnik, Rujnica near Zavidovici, Blagaja near Mostar, Buzima, Sanski Most, Sarajevo, Jablanica and Konjic.

Bosnian anti-terror SIPA units have entered one of these extremist villages yesterday. SIPA has raided Ovse and are questioning local Bosnian Muslim leader Izet Hadzic.

Galijasevic expressed concern that Western media wants to portray these Islamic terror cells as “foreigners” either as Middle Easterner or as in the case of the recent attacker on the US Embassy as “Serbian citizen”.
